<h2>סיפורים על הרב זצ"ל</h2><h3>לא מתכבד בקלון חברו</h3><p>בראש השנה היה הרב זצ"ל לאחר בר-מצווה שערך בבית כנסת "צופיוף" בירושלים, והזמינו לשם בעל תוקע מיוחד כדי לתקוע בשופר. אותו בעל תוקע הגיע, בירך את הברכות, אך אין קול ואין עונה - הוא לא מצליח לתקוע.</p><p>מייד שאלו: "נו.. נו.. מישהו יודע לתקוע?", ובמקום שאין איש השתדל להיות איש. הרב אליהו קם והתחיל לתקוע. ברוך ה', הרב תקע באופן מעולה כמה תקיעות, כדי שלא יהיה הפסק בין הברכה לתקיעה, ולאחר מכן הוא עשה את עצמו כאילו גם הוא לא מצליח לתקוע. הוא אמר
