No Criticism Allowed (Hopefully Yourself Included!!!)

In Tanach we have Dovid waiting to hear the news about who won the war with Avshalom. Dovid saw Achimatz ben Tzadok (the Cohen Gadol) running towards him, and he said: איש טוב זה ואל בשורה טובה יבוא. “Good people say nice things”. And Chazal say: כל הפוסל במומו פוסל a person projects his own faults on others. A person who is critical should know that there must be something wrong with him also. Happy, secure, and confident people aren’t critical.

Most people are plenty critical, but they should work on being Dan L'kaf Zechus and they will improve. And whatever they don’t improve, they should keep their negative opinions to themselves. When Hashem made the world, He said again and again: וירא אלקים כי טוב.
