ProhibitionDescriptionRobbery (גזילה)A Jew is forbidden to rob a Jew or a non-Jew; one guilty of this crime must restore the object or provide money compensation to the victim.Withholding Payment (עושק)A Jew is forbidden to withhold payment for work from a Jew or a non-Jew; one guilty of this crime must restore the money to the victim.Theft (גניבה)A Jew who steals furtively from a Jew or a non-Jew violates the Torah command, and must return what was taken.Deception (עול במשפט)A Jew is forbidden to engage in commerce using inaccurate measurements; likewise, prohibited to cause anyone to err in calculation of price or payment.
