• The first set of the Luchos were broken.
• The daily Avoidah was discontinued three weeks before the destruction of the Beis Hamikdash.
• The walls of Yerushalayim were breached three weeks before the second Beis Hamikdash was destroyed.
• The Roman general Apostomus burned the Torah.
• A graven image was placed in the Beis Hamikdash.
