As on every Erev Yom Tov, it is proper to take a haircut (if one’s hair is overgrown) on this day.
It is proper to cut one’s nails on this day.
It is proper for men to immerse in the Mikvah on this day as the Jews did before they received the Torah (in addition to the importance of immersing before every Yom Tov).
One should not donate blood on Erev Shavuot. Some recommend not to even have a blood test on this day.
