The Curse of an Unending Lack of Satisfaction

Bitachon Weekly | June 27, 2025

By the K'lalos, it says: וַאֲכַלְּתֶם וְּלֹּא תִשְּ בָּעוּ כו כו you will eat and you will not be satisfied. By the Brachos, it says: וַאֲכַלְּתֶם לַחְּמְּכֶם לָשבַע כו ה you will become “full” even with very little food. (Rashi). We can suggest that part of the K'lala is never being satisfied. A person may live in the most beautiful palace and have a wonderful life, but if he hasn't taught himself to count his blessings and learn Shaar HaBitachon, which constantly reminds him to be Sameach B'chelko, then he is in a K'lala mode, Chas V'shalom!

All those "fortunate" people, who may even be top Lomdim who finish Shas and/or give shiurim, or do wonderful Chesed and Tzeddakos, and have lots of Zechusim; but if they aren't involved in working on Emuna and Bitachon, and APPRECIATING more-and-more-and-more without end, then they are a Bechina (type) of K'lala, Rachmana Litzlan. And those who drown themselves in Shaar HaBitachon, and write down every day's goodness and their own Maalos regularly, are a Bechina (type) of Bracha.
