We can add here, that this is also why we specifically say this in the Haftorah, which is not just the conclusion of the Torah reading but something that was established because of a decree from an authority (Malchus) in the time of Golus, that in place of Kriass Hatorah which is a Takonoh of Moshe Rabeinu it was established that they shall read the Haftorah. And this is the Chidush of this Haftorah itself that even in the time of Golus, we effectuate this idea of מְּנוֹרַת זָהָב כֻּלָהּ in a manner of אַחְּדוּת יִשְּרָאֵּל the men, the women and the children, this to such an extent that the descent into this Golus is merely to enable an ascent. Thus we come to the conclusion of the Haftorah that says: תְּשֻׁאוֹת חֵן חֵן לָה “with shouts of grace, grace to it".
In a double manner because generally double letters allude to the redemption. [As is explained in Maamorim from the Rebbe Maharash – author of the phrase Lechatchilah Ariber] had we been meritorious, then the Geulah from Golus Bovel would have been everlasting.
Explanatory Notes
Say in the Haftorah: In our case this is the Haftorah for Parshas Beha’alosecho.
But something that was established: The whole custom of the reading of the Haftora.
Time of Golus: When reading the Torah was not an option.
Haftorah itself: Specifically, this Haftora, besides the normal connections of the Haftoros to the aspect of Golus.
Achdus Yisroel: As is explained earlier at the beginning of the Maamor that the seven branches of the Menorah represent seven different kinds of Avodah, but they are all joined in one menorah.
Grace Grace: This is the call of the stone upon which the Beis Hamikdosh will be built and it will shout out grace grace or beautiful beautiful perhaps out of excitement for having the Beis Hamikdosh back.
Double letters allude to the redemption: There is a Medrash in Pirkei D’Rabi Eliezer 48 on the Possuk that tells Avrohom לֶךְ לָֽךָ and says that there are five letters מְנַּצְפַּ״ךְ which are doubled, and they are all expressions of redemption. ‘כ’ is doubled when Avrohom is redeemed from ‘Ur Kasdim’ as the Possuk states לֶךְ לָֽךָ. ‘מ’ is doubled for Yitzchok when HaShem redeems him from the P’lishtim as the possuk states לך מעמנו. ‘נ’ is doubled when Yaakov is redeemed as the Possuk states: הצילני נא מיד אחי . ‘פ’ is doubled when the B’nei Yisroel were redeemed from Mitzrayim as the Possuk states: פקוד פקדתי. The letter ‘צ’ is the letter which HaShem will use in the future to redeem Yisroel from the oppression of the kingdoms, and He will say to them, צמח צמחתי I have caused a branch to spring forth for you, as it is said in this week’s Haftorah, איש צמח שמו ומתחתיו יצמח "Behold, the man whose name is (Zemach) the Branch; and he shall grow up (Yizmach).
