Not only Meron

Rebbe Responsa | June 27, 2025

By the Grace of G-d
15th of Iyar, 5723
Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mr. Chaim Yehuda Jacobs
Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch
Kfar Chabad

Greeting and Blessing:
I received your letters of the 9th of Iyar and the previous one. The Pidyon will be read at the holy resting place of my father-in-law of saintly memory. May you have good news to report.

As I have written to some of your friends at the Yeshiva, I trust that due preparations are made for utilizing the forthcoming auspicious day of Lag B’Omer not only in connection with Meron, but also on a wider scale. For, it was the essential mission of the Rashbi to reveal the inner light of the Torah, so that it should be disseminated and spread forth. Certainly it is expected of the students of Tomchei Tmimim to do their utmost to strengthen Yiddishkeit permeated with the spirit of Chassidus, which is basically the spirit and teaching of the Rashbi.

May G-d grant that the inspiration which you and your friends will engender in all those you will come in contact with, should be lasting from this Lag B’Omer to the next.
With Blessing,
By Nissan Mindel
