Shabbos Mevarchim

On the Shabbos before a new Jewish month starts, we say a prayer blessing the upcoming month.

• On the morning of Shabbos Mevarchim, we wake up early and say the entire book of Tehillim. In 770-Home of Moshiach, the reciting of Tehillim with the Rebbe King Moshiach Shlita starts at 8:30.
• Shabbos Mevarchim is a day for Farbrengens (Chassidic festive gatherings).
• It is good to know the exact time that the moon will be “born” before blessing the month. This time is very exact, and is published in certain calendars and charts.
