Israel Is Eliminating the Perpetrators of the October 7 Massacre

זכרון יעקב | June 27, 2025

The Israel Security Agency (ISA) and the IDF have eliminated dozens of Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists who participated in the massacre in Israeli communities near Gaza.

To address the perpetrators comprehensively, the ISA established a unique headquarters called “Hamal Nili,” tasked with gathering intelligence on all those involved in the attack and ensuring their elimination.

Israel’s current operations in response to the October 7 massacre echo its response to the 1972 Munich massacre. Following the murder of Israeli athletes by the Black September organization, the Mossad launched “Wrath of G-d,” a long-term operation to eliminate those responsible. Similarly, the Israel Security Agency (ISA)’s initiative represents a calculated and methodical pursuit of justice.

Immediately after the October 7, 2023, massacre, which saw approximately 3,000 terrorists attack and murder Israeli civilians and soldiers, the ISA leadership decided to form a dedicated task force, “Hamal Nili,” which is rooted in a historical and cultural context.

The name is derived from the Hebrew acronym for the verse “The eternity of Israel will not lie” (Samuel I, 15:29), symbolizing resilience and the unwavering resolve of the Israeli people to overcome their enemies.

The initiative originated from the ISA’s field operatives and received approval from its head, Ronen Bar.

The “Hamal” operates in several stages:

  1. Mapping: Identifying the terrorists who participated in the massacre using intelligence sources.
  2. Locating: Pinpointing their locations through a variety of intelligence techniques.
  3. Eliminating: Neutralizing the identified individuals through targeted operations.

A senior ISA official emphasized that this mission is about “closing a circle,” underscoring the organization’s commitment to justice for the murdered families and the State of Israel.

According to the official, the task force will remain active until all the perpetrators are neutralized.

The “Hamal” has already compiled a detailed list of perpetrators using intelligence gathered from various sources, including interrogations of captured terrorists. Among the terrorists eliminated so far are:

  1. Jihad Kahloot: Commanded the murder and kidnapping near Kibbutz Mefalsim
  2. Ahmed Wadia: Led a paraglider raid and massacre in Netiv HaAsara
  3. Muhammad Abu Atiwi: Directed the massacre at the security room on Route 232 at Reim.
  4. Majdi Akilan: A commander involved in the Kibbutz Nahal Oz massacre

These eliminations include members of the Nukhba unit, responsible for significant roles in the attacks, as well as those who participated in the Nova music festival massacre.

The exact number of terrorists eliminated remains uncertain due to the ongoing nature of the operations and potential efforts by Hamas to conceal losses. However, the ISA continues its relentless efforts, ensuring no perpetrator escapes accountability.

The ISA’s systematic pursuit underscores Israel’s unwavering resolve to bring justice to the victims and safeguard its citizens from future threats.
