Mevushal Wine
11. Mevushal wine does not become assur from non-Jewish contact Several reasons are given by the Rishonim, which lead to practical differences in halacha.
12. Wine fit for libation. Some write that the reason is because Chazal only forbade stam yeinam fit to be poured on the Mizbeiach. Since mevushal wine is not fit for the Mizbeiach, Chazal did not apply the issur of stam yeinam Even though the reason of intermarriage still applies to mevushal wine, the main reason they relied on is the reason of pouring for avoda zara
13. Not so common. Others understand that the gezeira of stam yeinam to prevent intermarriage was not extended to mevushal wine because mevushal wine was not so common, and Chazal do not make gezeiros for uncommon cases The Beis Yosef adds to this that we are not worried a person will go through the effort of cooking all his wine to drink it with non-Jews. Hence, there is no concern it will lead to yichud with non-Jewish women
14. Not called wine. Another reason given is that Chazal’s gezeira was only on the drink called “wine.” Cooked wine has a different title; everyone calls it “mevushal wine,” for which Chazal did not make their gezeira
