Torah Master

The Alef | June 27, 2025

Torah is the lifeblood of Judaism that has guided the Jewish people throughout history. From generation to generation, the teachers and masters of Torah have served as the nation’s leaders, shaping Jewish identity and practice.

As the greatest teacher of all time, Moshiach’s teachings will reach everyone, regardless of their stage in life—young or old, beginner or advanced. Astonishingly, Moshiach will even teach Torah to Moshe and the Patriarchs, who dedicated their lives to Torah study and continued learning in the worlds of souls after their time on earth.

An individual who seriously studies the Divine Law and adapts those lessons to life is already a G-d-conscious individual. What will Moshiach offer to those who already live with Torah morals? And what will he teach its true masters?

An even bigger question: how will Moshiach manage to teach everyone simultaneously? It seems almost inconceivable—like teaching a classroom of both professors and first graders at the same time!

Midrash Excerpt

A short excerpt from an ancient Midrash paints an image of Moshiach teaching in fascinating detail:

Moshiach will sit as the main teacher in the academy and all inhabitants of the world will come and sit before him in the academy to hear the new Torah and deep wisdom that he will teach the Jewish people. As it says [Yeshaya 12:3], “You will draw waters—a metaphor for Torah—with gladness from the springs of salvation.” Eliyahu Hanavi will stand before Moshiach as his interpreter. All the righteous people will arise with the Divine spirit from their graves, and they will come and sit in the academy in front of Moshiach to hear expositions and legal teachings from his mouth.
