A person must look at this matter as a great battle between the side of kedushah and the side of the Sitra Achara. The side of kedushah wishes to make more shidduchim, to establish new homes in Klal Yisrael—as Chazal liken the building of a Jewish home to rebuilding the ruins of Yerushalayim. We see from this that there is great השכינה השראת in a Jewish home; thus, it is no wonder that the Sitra Achara does everything in its power to prevent it.
So, what is the eitzah? The eitzah is to engage in those things that bring shefah—as mentioned above—to engage in actions of chessed, tefillah, and toil in Torah. The truth is that just as people engage in shidduchim to help people find their zivug, and just as we understand that tefillah hastens the yeshuah—so too, people should open kollelim in which the zechus of the learning will go towards those in need of shidduchim! This is pashut. The Ohr HaChaim HaKadosh and other sefarim teach us that the more Torah, the more shefah.
