A person shouldn’t ask, “Why can’t I serve Hashem properly? Why can’t I reach higher levels?” Very often, things go out of order, which makes us feel embarrassed and broken. At these times, we must know that it is necessary for us to deal with obstacles, so that we can transform the disorder of life into a revelation of Hashem’s will. We do so by accepting our humiliations and hardships with love. When we let go of our own kavod and remain silent in the face of our disappointments, we connect all of the chaos we’re going through to the Divine Providence of Hashem and give Him the greatest honor.
Through this, we begin to realize the amazing kavod that Hashem gives us as well. Hashem is exceedingly proud of every good decision we make, every positive desire and thought we have, and every word of Torah and tefillah we say.
L’Ma’aseh — Practically Speaking
A person who only thinks about Hashem’s kavod will strengthen himself to find Hashem, no matter what.
