Just like the revealed part of the Torah has the Written Torah (the Pentateuch, Prophets and Writings) and the Oral Torah (Talmud etc.), similarly the inner part of Torah, Chassidus, has the “Written Torah” of Chassidus – the book of Tanya, and the foundational books of the “Oral Torah” of Chassidus – Torah Ohr and Likkutei Torah. These books, which are teachings of the Alter Rebbe with additions from other Chabad Rebbes, go through the Torah portions, along with sections on the holidays etc., and conclude with explanations on Shir HaShirim, Song of Songs. They are deep mystical explanations on the Torah. There is a lot about Moshiach and the Redemption, and the conclusion with the Song of Songs represents the “marriage” of G-d and the Jewish People in the Redemption through Moshiach. The Rebbe King Moshiach Shlita says that we should make a good resolution to learn all the parts of Torah Ohr and Likkutei Torah until their end, and by learning Torah about these things, we draw them into actuality faster!
These books have so much wisdom and insight on so many topics! They include all parts of the Torah, from Tanach to Gemara to Kabbalah and more, and give profound insights into scientific and psychological phenomena, explaining how everything in the world is a reflection of G-dliness!
