- There are two stages of the marriage, called “Eirusin” (betrothal) and “Nisuin” (marriage). (Today we do both at one wedding ceremony.)
- The groom gives the bride a ring, making her his wife.
- The groom gives the bride a marriage contract, called a “Kesubah”.
