We see that only after the camels finished drinking did Eliezer gift Rivkah with a gold ring. Why did he wait until the camels finished drinking?
As soon as Rivkah said, “Drink, and I will water your camels as well,” and she went in all earnestness to actually do it, he should have recognized that she is a tzedekes, and thus given her the jewelry already then.
The answer is, as the Seforno explains, that Eliezer waited until she gave water to all the servants and all the camels in order to see, after she finished, if she will ask for some favor or recompense for her labor. And not necessarily a fine gift. Even if she will expect a compliment for her strenuous efforts.
Rivkah didn't do that. As soon as she finished the job, she turned around to go back home as if she did nothing. She didn't feel as if she did anything at all. This is amazing greatness.
