Chodesh Kislev

Chodesh Kislev includes many auspicious dates, causing the entire month to be like Yom Tov.²⁰ The Rebbe referred to this month as a chassidishe chodesh,²¹ as well as Chodesh Hageulah²².

The Rebbe writes that in general, Kislev is a more successful month than the months of Marcheshvan and Teves.²³

In 5749, the Rebbe instructed that everyone should learn one additional concept in Chassidus during each day of Chodesh Kislev. Even better, learn a concept from the Baal Shem Tov, the Maggid and the Alter Rebbe. If you can, learn a teaching from each of the other Rebbeim as well.²⁴

Farbrengens should be held throughout the month, especially on the dates marking chassidishe Yomim Tovim.²⁵
