When One Lends to The Poor, Hashem Listens to Him

When One Lends to The Poor, Hashem Listens to Him:

Chazal say (Yevamos 62A): “When one lends money to a poor man in his time of need, it is said about him (Yeshaya 58:9): ‘He will call out and Hashem will answer.’”
Rav Menachem Mendel of Rimanov zy”a asks why the Gemara refers to “a poor man in his time of need.” Isn’t every poor man in a time of need?
He answers that the Gemara’s intent is that the lender is in a time a need. It means to say that if someone lends money to a poor man even though he is in a time of need himself, then Hashem will hear his prayers and help him.
We may add that the Gemara also relates this pasuk to someone who draws close his relatives and someone who marries his sister’s daughter. It says that Hashem hears all of those people when they call out to Him. We may say that both of those two people are doing things that go against human nature. In general, people prefer to draw close their friends more than their relatives and prefer to marry a brother’s daughter more than a sister’s daughter. When one does as the Gemara says, he is overcoming his natural inclinations. In this merit, Hashem performs miracles for him, as the Be’er Mayim Chaim (Parshas Beshalach) writes: When Hashem sees a person doing mitzvos with mesiras nefesh that goes beyond his nature, He performs miracles for that person that are beyond nature.
