Today is the anniversary of the birth of the Frierdiker Rebbe in 5640 (1880).

Today is also the anniversary of the release of the Frierdiker Rebbe from exile and imprisonment in Soviet Russia in 5687 (1927). On this day, he was informed that his sentence was revoked, and that a certificate of release would be given to him the following day.
