Each of the previously mentioned entities—the Manna, the water, and the clouds of glory—were given to the Jewish people in the desert in the merit of specific individuals. The Manna was the food of the Jewish people, the water was a unique part of their sustenance, and the clouds of glory protected them from the outside. When these individuals passed away, their respective gifts departed as well, but were later returned due to Moshe's merit.

We can now understand the connection between these gifts and the people they were associated with. The Manna, water, and clouds of glory are not just stories, but lessons for day-to-day life. The Torah writes these stories in a way of command, teaching us that every detail is relevant and instructive for us today. The Medrashim on this week’s Parsha emphasize that these stories are told everywhere and are meant to be understood as guidance for our own lives.
