The Rebbe's Pharmacy | June 25, 2025

It is very good for a person to give himself over to Hashem and rely on Him. And my custom is that when a day comes, I hand over all my movements, and the movements of my children and those who are dependent on me, to Hashem – that everything should be according to His will. And this is very good. Also, after doing this, a person doesn’t have to consider or worry at all whether he’s doing the right thing or not, since he’s relying on Hashem. And if Hashem wants him to do something else, he’s willing to do whatever Hashem wants.

This article is based on the Torah of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov zt’’l and his primary talmid Reb Noson zt’’l, as given over by Rabbi Nissan Dovid Kivak, shlit’’a. Therefore, Rebbe Nachman teaches us that we must give ourselves over to Hashem and rely on Him. We have to tell Hashem that our ratzon is to serve Him in every way – to daven with kavanah, use every free moment we have for learning Torah, and do everything for the sake of Heaven. Then, even if we didn’t do exactly as we hoped, we don’t have to worry. Our mesiras moda’ah shows our true intentions, and this is what really matters to Hashem.

Similarly, we don’t have to worry about what will do in future situations, since we’re handing over our actions, conduct, and movements to Hashem. Thus, we can be calm and satisfied in life, knowing that we’re certainly giving Hashem nachas with our avodah.
