Based on the Dvar Malchus of the Shabbos Parshas Devarim, 5751
Understand this by learning what the Rebbe Melech Hamoshiach Shlita says in the sicha we are about to learn.
Days of redemption
Every day we believe that Moshiach will come right away, especially lately when all of the signs tell us that Moshiach should come immediately. During the month of Av our hope and anticipation turns into something very special indeed.
The Midrash says, "The lion (Nevuchadnetzar) went up to the mazal lion (the month of Av) and destroyed the ariel (Beis Hamikdash), in order that the lion (Hashem) should come during the mazal of the lion (in the month of Av – may it become a happy month) and will build the ariel."
First of all, we learn from this Midrash that the third Beis Hamikdash will be built in the month of Av. Furthermore, we know that the purpose of its destruction that took place in the month of Av was in order that the third Beis Hamikdash be built. Therefore, when we get to the days leading up to the destruction, we hope and anticipate in a much more unique and special way that the Beis Hamikdash be built.
For this reason this month is called Menachem Av. Before the month of Av starts with its days that lead up to the destruction, we already have the "Menachem" – the King Moshiach that will bring the redemption and turn the destruction into a tremendous joy.
During this special month there is a special day, Tisha B'Av. The Talmud tells us that the Moshiach was born on this day.
A person's mazal becomes stronger on his/her birthday and is given special strength and abilities on this day. The Moshiach's mazal becomes stronger on this day and reveals his ability in his unique and important mission, to bring about the complete redemption for us.
Tisha B'Av
Tisha B'Av 5751 was not a regular Tisha B'Av. It was on Shabbos and the Rebbe Melech Hamoshiach Shlita during the farbrengen focused on Moshiach's immediate arrival. He added that instead of fasting the next day, we should rejoice and celebrate in the Beis Hamikdash.
The Rebbe Melech Hamoshiach Shlita instructed us at the farbregen to increase the amount of tzedakah we give, something that brings about the redemption much sooner. During the actual fast the next day, Sunday, the Rebbe gave out dollars at three different times. The first time was on Moitzoei Shabbos. The second time was after mincha, and the third time still on Sunday before mairiv.
In addition, as soon as the fast was over, the Rebbe began to sing the hakafos nigun of Simchas Torah amidst tremendous joy.
How is it possible that a day of fasting and destruction of the Beis Hamikdash becomes a day that is totally Moshiach? We can understand this by learning what the Rebbe Melech Hamoshiach Shlita says in the sicha we are about to learn.
No fasting
The Rebbe Melech Hamoshiach Shlita continues to emphasize how close and real the redemption is.
Regarding Yom Kippur, during the month of Tishrei, the Torah says, "Whoever eats and drinks on the ninth day of Tishrei, the day before Yom Kippur, is considered as if he/she fasted on the ninth and tenth."
The same applies to the month of Av. When Tisha B'Av occurs on Shabbos, we eat meat and fish and drink wine in a very happy and joyous atmosphere in honor of the complete redemption. We plan to fast the next day, the tenth day of Av.
In the merit of the eating and drinking on Shabbos Tisha B'Av, Moshiach could come right away, before the fast starts, and then it will be, as the Torah tells us before Yom Kippur, "As if we fasted on the ninth and tenth." But really, we will not fast at all any more on this day and these days will become happy and joyous.
When King Solomon dedicated the first Beis Hamikdash on Yom Kippur, the entire Jewish nation ate and drank in honor of the very happy event. They didn't fast. We also are confident and sure that Moshiach will come today and will immediately build the Beis Hamikdash. No one will fast the next day.
Keep demanding
When we will daven mincha, we will read parshas Vaeschanan. The numerical value of the word Vaeschanan is 515, the numbers of times Moshe davened to Hashem that he would be allowed to enter the Land of Israel. Hashem decreed that Moshe would not go into Israel and told him that there's no reason why he should daven. Moshe knew, however, that once he enters Israel, the complete redemption would come about, and therefore he did everything he could to daven again and again in order to go into Israel. Maybe Hashem will change His mind.
We should also do the same thing. We should daven again and again and demand of Hashem to bring about the complete redemption. We should scream out again and again, today even stronger than before, the words "Ad Mosai"?!!! Especially now when we find ourselves in such a special time, Shabbos Tisha B'Av, Moshiach's birthday, and in such a special place, "770", house of the Nosi of the generation, a place that one learns Torah, daven to Hashem, and do lots of maasim tovim. Many Jews get together in such a place with lots of ahavas yisroel. It's the best time and place for Moshiach Tzidkeinu to come.
"...Simply speaking, a Jew believes with complete faith that Moshiach Tzidkeinu, a King from the house of David, versed in Torah and busy with mitzvos, etc., now referred to Moshiach without a doubt – is now mamash coming into this shul, may he come and redeem us and take us with an upright posture to our land, taking the entire Jewish nation to the Holy Land, to Jerusalem the holy city, to the holy mountain and the third Beis Hamikdash..."
Really – mamash!
The posuk says, "Tzion will be redeemed with judgment and her captives through tzedaka." Jerusalem will be built in the merit of judgment and charity.
We have to give a lot of tzedaka (this is the reason why the Rebbe gave a lot of tzedaka by dollars on that Tisha B'Av) and do a lot of "judgment", referring to learning a lot of Torah, especially the Rebbe Shlita's holy takana of making siyumim during the nine days and beyond until and including the fifteenth day of Av.
"...It should be Hashem's will that even before the fifteenth day of Av, and the days before it, even immediately mamash, the redemption should already come, and then we will celebrate the greatest joy, an unlimited joy, a joy that the true and complete redemption has come by Moshiach Tzidkeinu..."
