When a person is filled with yiras Shamayim and doesn’t gaze where he shouldn’t, and when he has in mind with every berachah that Hashem is the Creator of the world, his life becomes so sweet and good—to the point that if someone would suggest that he do something silly, he will look at him as if he fell from the moon. “You don’t have a good life; this is why you’re searching for all kinds of silliness. Come with me, and I will show you what a good life is!”
A person must daven a great deal for yiras Shamayim, and as we discussed, when a person prepares himself for davening with yiras Shamayim, the davening itself will awaken in him yiras Shamayim. The same occurs when a person learns Torah with yiras Shamayim—with the goal that the Torah should awaken in him yiras Shamayim—the Torah will indeed awaken in him incredible yirah, and he will feel ahavah as a result as well, for he will not squander his innate ahavah for silliness. His ahavah will be channeled toward HaKadosh Baruch Hu alone, and then his life will be truly good all his days.
