Born to Rav Shmuel and Rachel in Jerusalem in 1695) תנ"ה) others say תס"ה. After his marriage in 1722) תפ"ג), at age 28 he was sent on a mission to Constantinople (modern day Istanbul, Turkey) as a Shadar or Rabbinic emissary. On his way a great miracle occurred to him and that day 1723) ט"ז אדר תפ"ג) is commemorated by the Meyuchas family as Purim Meyuchas until today. In 1753) תקי"ג) he was appointed as Rosh Yeshivah of Bais Yaakov Fererra and later in 1756) תקט"ז) he was appointed as Rishon LeTzion. He authored Pri HaAdama several volumes on the Rambam, Mizbeach Adama on the Torah parsha, Pnei HaAdama derashos and Minchas Bikkurim on Shas. He passed away 22 Av 1771) כ"ב אב תקל"א) and was eulogized with a hesped by the Chida.
