Daily Mitzvah – Keeping Focused

Rebbe Responsa | June 27, 2025

Greeting and Blessing:

I duly received your letter of the 5th of Iyar, and I will remember you in prayer for the fulfillment of your heart’s desires for good, in accordance with the contents of your writing. Above all, that there should be no distracting matters and anxieties - in accordance with the spirit and concept of Pesach, the Season of Our freedom, which we have just celebrated, freedom from all distractions and inhibitions in the course of serving G-d with joy, and carrying over this freedom and joy into every day of the year.

The present month, unlike any other month of the year, is also a particularly auspicious one, inasmuch as each day of this month has a special Mitzvo - Counting of the Omer, and each and every day of the month therefore also has a special, blessing. May every day also bring you and yours an additional blessing in steady succession.

Moreover, the essence of counting these days, which connect Pesach with Shovuos, the Festival of Our Receiving the Torah, stems from the fact that the Jewish people, immediately upon leaving Egypt, began to count the days to the culmination and fulfillment of their freedom through receiving the Torah at Mt. Sinai, as they had been promised. This emphasizes the great and profound longing which they experienced for the Torah & Mitzvoth, which is all the more remarkable considering that their hearts and minds were filled with the tremendous joy of their liberation. Nevertheless, they never lost sight for a moment that their liberation will only be complete when they will receive the Torah.

With regard to the planned trip, you will no doubt act with the advice and approval of your lawyer.

Hoping to hear good news from you always in all the above, including the steady expansion of your good work in the spirit of Uforatzta,

With blessing,
M. Schneerson
