A wise Chassid, the Previous Rebbe tells us, is one who has a private audience [Yechidus] with his Rebbe once a year, by picturing himself standing in front of the Rebbe.
And this image of the private audience is not just an imagination but an actual accomplished fact, as can be seen by the fact that when a person has bad thoughts he is dragged into that evil. How much more so does a good thought raise one up to its level.
Additionally, the level of the person is immaterial in accomplishing this private audience. For example, when a child calls the King by name the King turns to him. And the unification with the Rebbe is not just two things combined called hiskashrus in Hebrew; but a bonding as one with the Rebbe called dvekus.
One poor in daas realizes that besides all these assurances that the image of standing in front of the Rebbe in a private audience accomplishes that unification with the Rebbe. It is a Rebbe, the Previous Rebbe who is giving that assurance-- so chop arien.
