Questions To Rabbi Mandel

Question: Dear Rabbi Mandel,
I enjoy your Bitachon Weekly and gain Chizuk from it.
I have a question about how to deal with a current situation in the right way. I went to my doctor last month, for a routine exam and blood test. He later told me, that for the first time, my PSA level in the blood is elevated, indicating that there may be a Machala there, Chas V'shalom. After testing again, there was not much change. He was willing to try with antibiotics, in case it was just due to an infection. I am scheduled to retest the day after Tisha B’av, with the result coming in a few days later. If my numbers are still high, Chas V’shalom, I will be sent to a urologist for further testing, to see if I need treatment, Chas V'shalom. I do not have any symptoms to indicate a Machala. (I am age 57).
How should I deal with this in the meantime? Should I focus on davening for a good result? Or on having Bitachon that everything will be okay? Or maybe I should focus on acceptance, that whatever happens will be the best? I find it difficult to focus on both things at the same time; i.e., on a positive outcome, and that whatever it is will be the best.

Answer: In the meantime, learn a lot of Mussar on Bitachon, and I guarantee you that it's nothing at all. You can rely on my Bracha; but you will get more if you also work on Bitachon. Spend time thinking positive and laughing, and say that you are healthy, even if you don't mean it. It's just a test, to inspire you to have Bitachon. It's all up to you; you are the author of your condition. I know someone who had to retest on a brain tumor. They spent hours for a few days... and it completely disappeared.
If you are happy and sing all day and eat pickles, then the body is happy, and you won't invite problems in the first place.
