The Ball Is In Our Court

דברים לב ,לט : ליִּ צַמ יִּדָ יִּמ ןיֵׁאְו no one can be saved from My Hand

Baal HaTurim states that the word מידי has the same numerical value as דין. This should serve as a warning, he says, not to rely on anybody else to save us from Divine judgment.

Chazal have taught us though, that 'Teshuvah, Tefilah and Tzedakah' remove the evil decree. So the ball, it seems, is in our court.
