We just experienced a month of Nissan and commenced the month of Iyar. The Bnei Yissoschar writes that the gematriah of ניסן equals two times the word פה 170. The sefarim explain that in the galus of Mitzrayim the mouth and speech of Yisrael were also in exile. Yisrael weren't able even to daven to Hashem only groan. When Yidden were redeemed from galus they regained their power of speech of kedusha and hence the Yom Tov name of Pesach פה סח "the mouth speaks" reflects this aspect of their geulah. וכל המרבה לספר ביציאת מצרים הרי זה משובח.
The sefarim tell us that this month of אייר is the acronym of אני ה' רופאך (the two letter yuds are used instead of writing the name of Hashem) I am Hashem your healer. After going through a month of Yetzias Mitzrayim and Hashem's miraculous display of the supernatural, we can request from Hashem to heal us both physically and spiritually.
One must notice that the only beracha in Shemoneh Esrai that depicts Hashem as "our praise" is this beracha of refuah כי תהלתינו אתה. We don't say give us knowledge because you are our praise or grant us forgiveness because you are our praise. Only by healing we mention כי התילתינו אתה? Rav Hutner ztl answers because the act of healing from Hashem was first mentioned in connection to Yetzias Mitzrayim after crossing the Yam Suf כל המחלה אשר שמתי 'ה ינא יכ ךילע םישא אל םירצמב רופאך all the sicknesses that I placed on Mitzrayim I will not place upon you because I am your healer.
We were promised healing in juxtaposition of the geulah from Mitzrayim which in itself was an incredible physical and spiritual healing for the entire Jewish Nation. This is why the beracha for our geulah is followed by refuah in the Shemoneh Esrai in order to convey that in galus we are deemed as a sick nation by being much compromised in our relationship to Hashem. We can only be healed if we have the geulah and rebuild the Beis Hamikdash with the presence of the Shechinah residing amongst us. Therefore like Mitzrayim, the mouth of gratitude is opened and superlative in giving thanks to Hashem for His healing powers towards us. כי תהלתינו אתה.
This is why the praise of כי אני הויה רופאך is also a tefillah for the Final geulah with a final healing. Therefore remarkably the gematriah of כי אני הויה רופאך equals משיח בן דוד. Our strongest spiritual and physical health, our minds and emotions, our self esteem and image, will reach its peak when Moshiach will come and bring to the world its final fixing.
During this month of Iyar we have the mitzvah of Pesach Sheini which gives a second opportunity for those who did not bring the Korban Pesach to have a makeup. Those individuals came to Moshe Rabbeinu and "complained" למה נגרע why should we miss out and be lacking this wonderful opportunity to come closer to Hashem. This expression suggests that they felt themselves as חולים sick individuals who are missing a chunk of shelaimus. This is what the word חול suggests, a hole, a corpse missing a neshamah, a flute which is hollow. When one feels the lack of sheleimus and heart fully he complains to Hashem go bestow him with healing to help him reach this destination, Hashem will even add a new mitzvah to the Torah in order to heal the sick of heart – Pesach Sheini.
