An elevated and most impressive event took place in Jerusalem in honor of the hilula of the Zera Shimshon, z"l, with the participation of thousands. The great Sages of the generation honored the occasion with their presence.
The “Siftotav dovevot” event was held on Shabbat afternoon at the Zera Shimshon Beit Midrash in Jerusalem. In Jerusalem, a special event was held on the occasion of the hilula of the Zera Shimshon on Thursday night a week ago. At the “Shirah Chadashah” event hall, crowds gathered, led by the great Sages of the generation, shlit”a, among them: Maran, the Rosh Yeshiva, the great Gaon Rabbi Moshe Tzadka, shlit”a; the holy and honorable Admor of Skulen, shlit”a; the holy and honorable Admor of Zvhil, shlit”a; the renowned spiritual influencer, the Tzadik and Gaon Rabbi Elimelech Biderman, shlit”a; the great Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Chaim Sofer, shlit”a, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat “Kaf HaChaim”; the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Chaim Shatziguel, shlit”a, one of the leaders of Kollel “Ateret Shlomo”; the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Ohev Tzion, a Dayan (Judge) in Jerusalem, and other Rabbis, Roshei Yeshiva, and Torah teachers.
As the Sages of the generation entered the hall, the special address of the president of the World Organization for the Dissemination of the Torah of the Zera Shimshon, the Gaon Rabbi Yisrael Zilberberg, shlit”a, was heard. With Heaven’s help, he succeeded in making the book Zera Shimshon the heritage of all. In his speech, he elaborated on the hidden secret behind the revelation of the book to the entire Jewish world, specifically in our generation. He also shared with the audience the ever-flowing source of salvations, testifying that he constantly hears wonderful reports directly from those who merited them.
A solemn silence filled the hall as the Sages of the generation, shlit”a, who themselves study the sacred and auspicious book Zera Shimshon and instruct their followers to do likewise, entered: Maran, the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Moshe Tzadka, shlit”a; the great Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Chaim Sofer, shlit”a, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat “Kaf HaChaim”; and the holy and honorable Admor of Zvhil, shlit”a.
In his words, Maran, the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Moshe Tzadka, shlit”a, who personally makes a practice of studying the holy book Zera Shimshon, declared that the sanctity of the book distances a person from sin and all evil, bringing him closer to holiness. He also added a special Mi Sheberach prayer for all who study the Torah of the Zera Shimshon.
With great excitement and enthusiasm, the righteous Gaon Rabbi Elimelech Biderman, shlit”a, one of the great influencers of our generation, was welcomed. He frequently cites selected passages from Rabbeinu, the author of Zera Shimshon, in his teachings. With these words, he spoke of the greatness and importance of the sacred book Zera Shimshon, capable of bringing salvation and mercy.
In an unusual privilege, the audience heard the passionate address of the great Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Chaim Sofer, shlit”a, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat “Kaf HaChaim”. The Rosh Yeshiva, who toils deeply in the books Zera Shimshon and Toldot Shimshon, expounded on the merit of the author’s hilula.
The Malchut Choir adorned the festive hilula meal with songs of emotion, awakening, and spiritual attachment. All those present rose to recite the prayer “El Maleh Rachamim,” sung with deep feeling by the chazan R. Uziel Deitsch and the Malchut Choir.
During the hilula, thousands of participants studied together a special derash on the theme “The righteous are greater in death than in life,” delivered by the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Zilberberg, shlit”a.
An eloquent address was delivered by the renowned Maggid Rabbi Chaim Zaid, shlit”a, who testified that he had heard about the book from the lips of the great Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Edelstein, z"l. In his drashah, Rabbi Zaid shared with the audience astonishing accounts of salvations that he heard directly from those involved, and he urged the public to increase their study and provide financial support for the sacred activities of the World Organization for the Dissemination of the Torah of the Zera Shimshon. Sweet words were also heard from the renowned Maggid Rabbi Shalom Perl, shlit”a, on the importance and sweetness of studying the book Zera Shimshon.
By initiative of the World Organization, more than one hundred avrechim gathered at the “Heichal HaYeshuot” Zera Shimshon Beit Midrash, 10 Hatzvi Street, Jerusalem, on Shabbat afternoon, for continuous hours of study with ta’anit dibur (abstention from idle talk) of the sacred book Zera Shimshon, studied with holy fervor. Afterwards, a large seudah shelishit was held.
