We will now discuss several lessons from Likutei Mohoran that reveal other messages of chizuk that were not mentioned in the sefer Meshivas Nefesh.

סימן א'

There are people who are always in a state of “thirst”—they learn and serve Hashem all the time, but they are con- stantly thirsty for more. Their soul always yearns for avodas Hashem, but without any specific timeframe or seichel. This is the value of attaching oneself to tzaddikim: they make clear guidelines and times so that a person is not in an excessive state of thirst. This is the meaning of the verse: “My soul thirsts for Hashem. When will I come and see His countenance?”—in other words, when will my avodah be an aspect of "seeing."
