Rav Pinchos, the second son of Rav Noson Dovid of Shidlovtza, was born on 12 Teves in the year 5599/תקצ'ט. He was a scion of the Yid HaKadosh of Peshischa. He married Zelda, the daughter of Rav Moshe Naftali Katzenellbogen (Av Beis Din of Taringrod and a grandson of the Knesses Yechezkel).

He held court as rebbe from the year, תרכ"ו. He was considered by many to be the main successor of his father and thousands of chassidim flocked to him and accepted his leadership.

His father, Rav Noson Dovid of Shidlovitza, revealed that Rav Pinchos had the neshama of Rav Dovid Lelover and testified that his son “never tasted the taste of sin in his entire life!”

Together with his brothers, he traveled to the Trisker Maggid who said about him, that “His face shines with yiras shomayim.”

Rav Avrohom Yissochor of Radomsk said about him: “Rav Pinchos does not stand up to daven before he makes a tikkun for kol haTorah kula – the entire Torah!”

Rav Asher of Stolin testified: “He has a tzelem Elokim – he was made in the image of G-d!”

Other colleagues who were known to venerate him include: Rav Elimelech of Grodzsik, Rav Meir Sholom of Kaushin, Rav Simcha Bunim of Otzwoczeck and Rav Yerachmiel Moshe of Kozhnitz. He was also close to Rav Yaakov Yitzchok of Biala, Rav Yechiel of Alexander, and others.
