Riddles of the Week

(For answers see above)

1) Should one give precedence to purchasing an esrog grown in Eretz Yisrael, even if it is not as mehudar [aesthetically beautiful] as an esrog grown abroad?

2) Is one obligated to cover plastic knives that are on the table during Birchas HaMazon?

3) Do knives need to be covered over when reciting Birchas Me'ein Shalosh?

4) In this week's parsha we have the pasuk: וראו כל עמי הארץ כי שם ה' נקרא עליך ויראו ממך – "All the nations of the land will see that the name of Hashem is upon you, and they will be fearful of you." (Devorim 28:10). The Gemara in Berachos (6a) learns that this refers to the head-tefillin.

If one put on his arm-tefillin, and the head-tefillin was already in the air space above his head and he then interrupted with speech, is this considered an interruption?
