Even in a world rendered small on account of technological advancement in communication, it still takes much mastery and moolah to reach the masses. Marketing companies command a hefty sum for their advertising and publicity services, whether for a product being brought to market or a political candidate running for office. What plays the primary role in bringing Torah to the world?
From Rabbi Yisroel Baal Shem Tov (1698-1760), founder of Chassidic thought and way of life. In a letter addressed to his brother-in-law, Rabbi Avraham Gershon Kitover in the Holy Land, the Baal Shem Tov discloses a secret meeting:
As is known to you, on Rosh Hashanah of the year 5507 (1746) I conducted a spiritual process by which I achieved ascension of the soul.
I was able to rise from level to level within the transcendent realm of souls, each housed in a chamber of spiritual delight, until I entered into the Heavenly study hall of Moshiach where Moshiach teaches Torah to the great Tanaim (sages of the Mishnah), tzadikim (all who lived devoutly righteous and pious lives), and even with the seven Shepherds (those who provide specific spiritual sustenance and leadership to the Jewish “flock”, e.g., Avraham, Moshe)...
And I posed a question to Moshiach: When will the master come and be revealed in the physical world? And he responded to me: It is this one thing that you will know when I will arrive—At such time when your teachings (Chassidut) will be publicized and revealed in the world, and your wellsprings of G-dly knowledge will disperse to the outer perimeters of existence.
