There has been a surprising turn of events in Shushan. Mordechai HaYehudi (“the Jew”) is being paraded through the streets of Shushan on the king’s royal horse. He is led by Haman, chief royal advisor, who is announcing to all, “Such shall be done to the man whom the king wishes to honor!”
PNS (Persian News Service) correspondent Larry Loch-in-Kop reports, “I have never witnessed anything like it! This Mordechai fellow has recently been wearing sackcloth and ashes. Now Haman has been forced to dress Mordechai in the royal clothes. Can you believe it?! WAIT! Is that Haman’s daughter jumping out the window? Kerplunk! Is that a TV and a bunch of garbage falling down? Kerplunk! Kerplunk! OH MY! Is that Haman with a garbage can on his head?! What a scene! Wow!”
