Targum Sheini

Targum Sheni on Esther is an Aramaic translation and elaboration on the book of Esther. The work’s origins are a matter of debate, and scholars date its composition to between the 4th and 11th centuries. The text includes line by line translations but also incorporates lengthy stories and other materials that are far from direct translations of the biblical text.
