Nitzotzos (Sparks) of holiness trapped within sin are not destroyed by the transgression; they are imprisoned by it. Chassidus teaches that Teshuvah from a place of distance generates a force that Tzaddikim cannot replicate, because only the penitent reaches the depth where those sparks are buried. The extraction transforms the sin's own energy into fuel for holiness, preparing the soul to receive the complete revelation of Moshiach.
