Yisrael helps synagogues get Torah scrolls. Once he made a raffle where several synagogues each paid $300 towards a Torah scroll, and the synagogue that won the raffle got it. He said that not only that synagogue won; they all won because they helped a synagogue get a Torah scroll. Another time, he got a Torah scroll for a synagogue in Utah. When he brought it to them, the Torah portion of that week was Terumah, which means donation. That Torah portion discusses the contributions of the Jewish People towards the Mishkan (Tabernacle) in the desert. A synagogue is like the Mishkan; it is called a miniature Mikdash (Holy Temple). Yisrael says that getting a Torah scroll for a synagogue brings Moshiach.
In the Beis Hamikdash (Holy Temple), we brought animal sacrifices. A Torah scroll is made of the skin of an animal, so that is similar to the sacrifices, and we put the Torah scroll in the synagogue, the miniature Mikdash. Doing something similar to bringing sacrifices in the Beis Hamikdash brings the Redemption through Moshiach, when we will actually bring sacrifices in the Beis Hamikdash!
