As the Possuk states: ׳וֹ פָדָה בְשָלוֹם נַפְשִּי מִּקְרָב־לִּי ג “He redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that came upon me,” and as it says: וְחֶרֶב לֹא־תַעֲבֹר בְאַרְצְכֶם “And no sword will pass through your land” not even a sword of peace and then the Avodah will be in a relaxed manner which is the way of the Avodah of Torah study.
Furthermore, even when the situation calls for battle in the Avodah of prayer, if partnered with Torah study which is an Avodah in a relaxed manner then the Avodah of prayer also becomes something else entirely.
This is because in the same way that engaging in Torah after prayer is greater than engaging in Torah before prayer. Because of the effect that prayer has on Torah. So too, Torah study has an effect on prayer that the prayer becomes elevated thereby.
