Chabad.org Luach | December 10, 2025

For local candle lighting times visit Chabad.org/Candles. Your complete guide to this week’s halachos & minhagim Parshas Ki Seitzei, 13 Elul, 5785 14 Elul, 5785 15 Elul, 5785.

During shvi’i and maftir, the baal korei reads zeicher zecher Amalek (first zeicher and then zecher).

The haftorah of Rani Akarah is read (Yeshayahu 54:1-10). At Minchah (as well as on Monday and Thursday), at the end of the third aliyah, it is customary for the baal korei to raise his voice when reading the possuk of Hashkifah.

After Minchah, read the first and second chapters of Pirkei Avos. See note regarding whether Kol Yisroel and Rabbi Chananya ben Akashya should be said before and after both chapters, or just once (before the first chapter and after the second chapter).

Motzei Shabbos is the last night to recite Kiddush Levanah. Today marks thirty days before Sukkos. Begin studying the halachos of Sukkos, and (after Shabbos) start providing those in need with provisions for Sukkos (as well as the other Tishrei holidays).

Today marks the anniversary of the founding of Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim in 5657 (1897). “The students of Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim are the soldiers of Beis Dovid.”
