The Greatest Kiddush Hashem

Havineini | December 10, 2025

When a person succeeds in life after properly connecting to Torah—this is the greatest possible Kiddush Hashem. A bachur who goes to yeshivah and returns home glowing with happiness and contentedness is a walking Kiddush Hashem.

All of us must work to ensure that our lives will be personified by Kiddush Hashem—as the Beraisa teaches us, ידך על מתאהב שמים שם שיהא, the Name of Hashem should become beloved through your actions.

The greatest way that we can accomplish this is when a person can report: “I have connected to Hashem, I have connected to Torah, and my life has become settled.... Things are settling into order. Things don’t bother me as much.” The Kiddush Hashem in this is enormous. And the responsibility is exceedingly great—for the very reputation of the Torah is at stake.

Someone who goes around bitter and dissatisfied is slandering the Torah. We must all advertise the greatness of the blessings in the Torah, showing how it provides us all our needs—and how every Yid can find fulfillment and blessing within the holy Torah.
