HE IS WITH US AS BEFORE
...Since "from the Mouth of the Above no evil comes forth" (Eicha 3:38), and since it cannot be “good” unless we are together with the Rebbe, it is certain that he is with us as before. The difference is only in revelation and concealment; Before, He was with us in a revealed way; Now his presence with us is concealed, therefore we have to cite proof from the Gemara (Yevamos 96b) that it is indeed possible for a man to "live in two worlds." This requires the study of his teachings: "Whenever a teaching is cited in this world that was handed down from a certain talmid chacham, his lips murmur etc." Simultaneously, however, the fact that his presence with us is obscure and concealed and that compels us to bring proof in order to affirm it - doesn’t weaken, whatsoever, the fact that he is with us as before!
