The Power of Ein Ohd Milvado

Story:

Many years ago, the Russian government was after the then-young Brisker Rav, and his father Rebbi Chaim and him had to go meet with a certain official. Rebbi Chaim told him to be misbonein and "meditate" on the concept of ein ohd milvado, how there is ONLY Hashem (see Nefesh haChaim 3:18), and how whatever the government official says is purely in the hands of Hashem. They did this and lo and behold saw a total yeshua and salvation, with the help of Hashem.

Years later when the Brisker Rav and his children were escaping Europe from the Nazis yimach sh'mam (may their name be erased), they put this technique to good use once again, and merited open si'ata d'shmaya and Help from Heaven.
