Rav Eliezer Ehrenreich Mahder Rav

Rav Ehrenreich was a son of Rav Chaim Tzvi Ehrenreich zt”l, rov of the town of Mahd in Hungary, and grandson of Rav Yaakov Ehrenreich zt”l, noted askan over 100 years ago. Rav Eliezer was married to his Rebbetzin Chana Leah, a daughter of Rav Yoel Zusman Spitzer zt”l, in the town of Dezh, Romania. He served as rov in Mahd for a short time in the 1940s, lived for a few years in DP camps in Germany, and immigrated to the United States in 1949.

Rav Eliezer led Machon Kol Aryeh, which prints the seforim of the Kol Aryeh and others and has published dozens and dozens of volumes.

The burial took place in the Munkatcher section of the Floral Park Cemetery in Deans, NJ. Rav Eliezer is survived by his children, R’ Yoel, R’ Chaim Tzvi, R’ Naftali and Mrs. Suri Friedman, as well as many grandchildren and great-children.
