Son-in-law of Rav Yisrael Freidman of Sadigura. Both his father and father-in-law were scions of the Ruzhiner dynasty. In 5706 he was crowned as Rebbe in Tshortkov by the Chassidim but only accepted the leadership position when his mother forced him to do so. He was extremely humble and private. His divrei Torah were published as Divrei Shlomo on Mo’adim. He was among the founders of Chinuch Atzmai. Rav Shlomo was niftar only two days after his mother’s petira. He left behind just one child, a daughter, and with him the direct paternal line of Tshortkov came to an end.
