According to Kabbalah, the earliest time to recite Kiddush Levanah is the seventh day from the molad.
Since Kiddush Levanah is not recited on Friday night, it is postponed until Motzaei Shabbos.

Today is the first of the three bahab fasts.
The days of bahab are auspicious dates even for those who do not fast, and they, too, should increase in learning, davening, and giving tzedakah, as is customary on a fast day.
