TRUE STORY

A Yungerman was going from job to job. They weren’t good jobs, and he was soon a failure, without any job at all. I told him to write down his Maalos before he looks for a job. As soon as he did this, for the first time he got an excellent quality job. When you write your Maalos, you are appreciating and respecting yourself, and the whole universe says: אמן כן יהי רצון, may this be His Ratzon!

The same with looking for a Shidduch, or a house, having children, or succeeding in Torah and Avodas Hashem. You silently look down at yourself, and the world goes along with your opinion.
