So many of us suffer from wanting more Ruchaniyus, e.g., like more Hatzlacha in Torah, Shleimus in Middos, etc. Little do we know how ideal our present incomplete state actually is. Our striving our frustrations from our sins; this is the most real of all that we do in Olam HaZeh, since attaining our goals is really just a gift from above, and our striving is us.
This is why Chazal say: י פ הֹש ע הֹא ח תֹב ת שוּב הֹֹוּמ עֲש יםֹטוב יםֹב עול םֹה ז ה,ֹמ כ לֹח י יֹה עול םֹה ב אֹאבותֹדֹיז our smallest good-deed in Olam HaZeh (this world) is worth more than the entire Olam HaBah (spiritual level in the next world), and this is why: י ֹמוֹתֹה ֹמ ֹש ֹיח ֹ the era after the coming of Moshiach is called: ש נ יםֹאֲש רֹתֹּאמ רֹֹא יןֹל יֹב ה םֹח פ ץֹֹקהלתֹיבֹא years about which you will say “I have no desire”, (Gemara) i.e., you’re not involved in striving (ח פ ץ) and growing. The: בור אֹֹעֹול ם Creator of the entire universe told Dovid: כ יֹטובֹֹיוםֹב חֲצ ר יךָֹמ א ל ףֹֹ(תהליםֹפדֹיא)ֹֹטובֹל יֹיוםֹֹא ח דֹש א ת הֹעוס קֹב תור הֹל פ נ י,ֹמ א ל ףֹעולותֹֹש ע ת ידֹש לֹמֹּהֹב נ ךָֹל ה ק ר יבֹל פ נ יֹע לֹג ב יֹֹה מ ז ב ח ֹֹֹמכותֹיֹא even just one day of your toiling in Torah is more precious to me than the thousand Olah’s (the highest Korban) that your son, Shlomo, will offer before Me on the Mizbeach. And although Shlomo was the one who actually built the Bais Hamikdash, the Passuk says: מ ז מורֹֹש ירֹחֲנֻכ תֹה ב י תֹֹלְּדָוִדֹתהליםֹלֹא a song for the Chanukas HaBayis (inauguration of the Bais Hamikdash) of Dovid (as if it was built by Dovid). And it is called by the name of Dovid, and not Shlomo!
