Tzadikim and Nesiei Yisrael Have Illuminated Eyes

Lebin mit Moshiach | June 27, 2025

...Although ordinary people do not see with their eyes of flesh the impending Geula, however the Tzadikim and Nesi‟ei Yisrael who have “illuminated eyes,” see in the golus itself (both in the descent and darkness of the golus as well as in “our actions and Divine service”) the Geula which is inherent in it.

This explains why many “kitzim” („ends‟ - pre-determined dates) were revealed by many gedolei Yisrael [great Jewish leaders], notwithstanding what the gemara says (Sanhedrin 97b. Rambam hilchos Melachim ch. 12:2): May the essence of those who calculate „kitzim‟ (ends) suffer agony – because it is obvious that the gemara is not in contradiction to the “kitzim” revealed by the Tzadikkim.

The gemara, as well as the Rambam (ibid) are discussing those who calculate the ketz.

However the great Tzadikkim see the enormity of the elevation and refinement accomplished and the “great wealth” (Lech 15:14) which the Jews have achieved – and this brings the Tzadikkim to greatly praise and emphasize the merits of the Jewish people with their Ahavas Yisrael for all Jews. Thus, they are obligated to reveal what they see, so that Jews will be inspired and add in their “actions and Divine service” to realize the Geula.
